***2019 Perth Harp Festival***

The Harp Society of Western Australia is proud to present the first Perth Harp Festival!

Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October 2019

The Festival will be a wonderful showcase of local, national and international talent and an opportunity for harpists to meet, network and learn new skills. The Festival will include workshops, concerts and ensembles. Harpists of all ages, ranging from beginner to advanced players, are most welcome and we hope that anyone who is curious about learning to play harp will jump in and have a go as well.

The Festival will be headlined by world-renowned harpist Alice Giles, who will take masterclasses and group lessons, as well as leading two ensembles, one of which will play in the Harp Celebration concert to be held at the end of the Festival. Music created in Festival workshops will also be featured in the concert, giving many Festival participants an opportunity to play together for an adoring audience.

UK harpist Lauren Scott will perform Beyond the Horizon, a concert of her solo compositions from 12:45pm to 1:30pm on Friday 4 October. Entry for Festival participants is free. Public tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door.
